New Year - Round 3 Begins

I know it has been awhile since I've posted yet there is not much to say when you are in Phase 3 and 4. Phase 3 went pretty good. Not as many correction days this time. I think I am finally getting the hint. One thing I learned is not to do an apple day the day before you move into phase 3 as this is not your true LDW (last dosage weight). I was stuck at 204 for about 4 days and I really wanted to hit my 100 mark, so the day before phase 3 I did the apple day and was able to get down to 201. I was happy, yet I was having trouble stabilizing until I read somewhere that this is not what you should do. I then decided to move my LDW to 204 and after that I was able to stabilize just fine.
I was going to start my new round on Christmas Eve yet with my husband out of work for almost 2 months because of a back injury, I was late at ordering my drops. I found the site I get my drops from on Facebook and decided to put my before and during picture up and tell them a little bit about me. I mentioned there about wanting to start on Christmas Eve yet wasn't sure if the drops would get there on time. The owner commented and told me to look at my e-mail. When I did, I cried. She mentioned that she sent my drops priority mail so they would get there on time and also included a FREE bottle. I was overwhelmed! I did get my bottles on Christmas Eve yet still decided to start on New Year's Eve.
This week has been a little rough as my son gave me loading foods for Christmas so I have been having a cookie here and there, etc. I went over my LDW and today should of done a correction day yet I thought why loose a pound when I am just going to gain it back the next day so I decided that I was going to load for three days again. Today was a light load and I started my drops again. Tomorrow will REALLY be my gorging day as will New Year's day. I am excited to start this round and loose some more weight. I should (better) get into the 100 club this round. Way exciting. I will be posting more for anyone who is following me.
Good luck for all those who are starting a new round, those who are stabilizing and those who are maintaining.

Thanksgiving P3 recipes

Here are some recipes for Thanksgiving that you may enjoy for those on P3 and P4.

Pumpkin Pie

1 can pumpkin (be sure it's 100% pumpkin and not pie mix)
2 eggs
1 can evaporated milk
1 c sweetener (stevia)
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp ginger
1/4 tsp cloves
unbaked pie crust

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Combine all ingredients and pour into crust. Bake 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 and bake 45 minutes. Cool completely before serving.

You can make this pie completely crustless, by pouring into a PAM-sprayed pie dish and following the same cooking instructions.

Pie Crust

6oz pecan pieces
2 oz walnut pieces
2-4 TB butter
2TB Stevia

In food processor, combine all ingredients and pulse until reaches desired consistency. Press down into 9" pie dish.

Traditional Holiday Green Bean Casserole

1 lb fresh or frozen cut green beans
1 egg, beaten
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup chopped onions
2 cloves of garlic, crushed and minced
8 ozs mushrooms, sliced
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp paprika
Pinch of mustard powder
Fried Pork Rinds

Mix green beans, sour cream, egg, onion, mushrooms and spices. Pour into a baking dish and top with crushed Fried Pork Rinds. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.

MOCK MASHED POTATOES
16 ounces frozen cauliflower
1 tablespoon butter
2 ounces cream cheese, softened

Oil a pie plate and put in the cauliflower in a single layer. Bake at 350ยบ until dry, about 30-45 minutes. It's ok if it browns a little. Remove from the oven and add the butter. Cool slightly, then pulse in a food processor. Add the cream cheese and pulse until smooth.

Finished Round 2 P2

Today is the day I start my 500 cal with no drops for 3 days and then on to P3. I wish I could go a couple more days on P2 as I am so very close to "ONEderland", yet if I did I would not be loading again on Christmas eve and Christmas, and this I want to do.
I was stuck for days days at a certain weight and I swore that I would never do an apple day as your body will work out the stalls. Will it was getting down to ending phase 2 and my body was not moving so I decided to do an apple day Sunday. I ate 5 apples through out the day. Nothing else. No water, nothing to drink. When I weighed the next morning I lost 1.8 lbs. Broke the stall.
Today I got up and again so close to my goal yet I HAVE to move on.
So, here is my finishing stats for Round 2:

.........Start........ Round 1...... Round 2............ This is the NEW STATS:
Neck: 16.25........... 14.75............. 14.00 ..........................................Loss: 2.25
Arm: 15.75............ 15.00............. 14.00 ..........................................Loss: 1.75
Bust: 48.00.......... 45.75.............. 42.00 .......................................Loss: 6.00
Waist: 39.75........ 35.50............... 033.50 .......................................Loss: 6.25
Stomach: 42.50.. 39.00 ................39.00 .........................................Loss: 3.50 (I didn't start measuring stomach until later, this is why not a lot of weight loss you see.)

Hip: 50.25 ...........47.00 ...............43.75 ......................................Loss: 6.50
Thigh: 30.00 ......28.25 ...............25.50 .......................................Loss: 4.50
Calf: 19.25 ..........18.50.................. 17.75 .......................................Loss: 1.50
Total:
18 " lost ................................................................................New Loss... 32.25 inches Gone Forever!

...............Starting....................Round 1.........................Round 2
Weight: ...268 ..........................229.20.........................201.00

Total = 67.2 lbs released

Pants Size : Start ................Round 1................Round 2
22......................16...........................14 Total: 4 pant sizes

Can't complain. I have never been this size, yet been in this small of pants. Just two more 3 more sizes and I will be in a single digit size.
I will write again on Friday or Saturday, once I start Phase 3.
Happy Releases, Stabilization and Maintenance to all.

R2 P2 D48

Man, I have been on a stale for a couple of days. Today was a no release, yet no gain day. I wouldn't mind it too much yet I really want to reach my goal by Tuesday. I was looking at the packets of stevia I have, in which I use them at least once if not twice a day and just found out they have sugar in them. Tell me, who would put sugar in stevia??? No wonder there is not bitter aftertaste like they advertise. I have been using this for part of Round 1 and almost all of Round 2. Can we say...slow weight loss? Who knows what I would of been doing if I did not have that. Well, I will not use it again and we shall see if it makes a difference in my weight. Tomorrow is also Saturday and do you know what that means??? WEIGHT LOSS DAY which equals to SLEEP IN DAY! Can't wait. I am getting ready also to try on a smaller size of jeans. It would be wonderful if they fit right now yet I am not holding my breath as at my weight right now, I have never fit into this new size.
So, there you go. What has been happening to me and how I am getting nervous about p3 as last round I had such a hard time stabilizing.
Well, Happy Releases to everyone today. This is well worth it and the best thing I have ever done for my weight problem.
Until next time.

Close to the end

Talk about a trial. I want so bad to be in "ONEderland" by the end of this round, which gets over Tuesday and then I start my 3 days on the 500 cal without HCG. I am thinking it is NOT going to happen. Yesterday I was able to sleep in late and lost 1.4lbs yet today I gained .8ozs. I am at 204.4 today and am holding. I guess if I make it, HURRAY but if I don't then I will make it NEXT round. The whole aspect of this, is I'm feeling better, healthier and happier. This is a life long journey and if I look at it any other way then I will fail again. For the rest of my life I will be on the scale watching my weight, watching what goes into my mouth and why. We need to just keep plugging away and eating right. Sure there are days when I gain (like today) yet I will look at what I am doing...drinking enough water, getting enough sleep, etc. Correct my mistakes and keep moving forward. Since Halloween was this week-end, it really surprised me on how lots of people were tempted by candy. I have NO temptation at all. I still have candy in my house, yet do I want to eat it? Is it worth all my hard work? NO WAY!!! Candy is NOT worth it. This is one reason I love HCG, because I have no cravings and I am in no way tempted to eat the "Junk" food. Keep plugging along everyone. It is well worth it.
Until next time...Happy Releases, Stabilization and Maintenance to you all.

R2 P2 D41

Life is still happening here in HCGville. Still plugging along. It is hard to think soon I will be in P3. Where does the time go? So far in this round I have lost 32lbs. Not too bad. I have only 6 more lbs until "ONEderland". Can't wait for this one. I am still doing good with energy. No cravings. Last week I made cinnamon rolls and this week I made over 100 chocolate chip cookies. Let me tell you, no cravings. Not one! I don't have to try to hold myself back from licking my fingers or taking a small bite (no one would know). I have gone out to eat at a Chinese restaurant and did not even care that I was not eating with them. I knew that I was loosing weight. I think for the first time in my life, I finally felt that loosing weight was more important that food.
I have had several people lately talk to my about the HCG way and as I talk to them, you know those who are serious about it and those who are not. I wish those who are not serious would not do HCG as this would do more harm than anything. HCG is a great way to loose weight yet people need to follow protocol 100%. I love HCG.
Happy releases everyone.

Almost done with Phase 2

I can't believe how fast time is going. I am on R2 P2 D37. I only have two more weeks left. I am hoping that I will make it into the wonderful "ONEderland". This is my goal. My weight has been up and down, stable anything but going down each day. Yesterday TOM made an unexpected arrival and to day I was down 1.2 lbs. Usually Tuesdays are my weight loss days (as after I get up at 5am, I go back to bed at 7 for a few more hours and I loose about a pound), yet tomorrow I won't be able to keep that as I have company coming over at 9a.m. But there is no school (for us seminary) Thursday and Friday, so those are sleep in days. So, I am hoping that I can release at less two more pounds by Sat. Today I was at 208.8 which means I only have 9 pounds to go until I reach ONEderland.
Saturday night I was going through my closet trying to figure out what to wear to church the next day and found so many of my clothes are way too big. Soon I will have a bare closet. This is way, way better than having to get rid of my cloths because they are too small. At church I got a couple of complements. They help so much to stay on track as you realize that people really are noticing the new you coming out. I feel like I am peeling away an onion. Sometimes I can peel fast and some times it takes more time as I have to step back until my eyes stop watering. This round is a slower peeling yet I am still peeling.
OK, I think I am rambling. I really need to go to bed if I want to loose any kind of ounce.
May you all have Happy Releases.
Until next time.

Before and During Picture

I decide to finally include a before and during picture. I HATE (yes, I know that it's a strong word yet this is how I feel) having pictures taken of me, because of my weight and also because of my skin (I have vitiligo, or as I call it "The Michael Jackson disease").
I did not expect this picture to be so small so I will let you know what it says below.

Before: July 2010 ..................................During: Oct 2010
................Wt: 268 ..............................................Wt: 211
...............Pant size: 22 ......................................Pant size: 16
Still have a long way to go. I am almost half way to my goal.
To all who is reading this. HCG IS the answer. I can't believe how good I feel. I still have a long way to go yet I can finally see me as a skinny, healthy person in a new body. I can't wait yet I am enjoying the steps I am taking.
If you have any questions, I would gladly answer them.
Here is to more Happy Releases and today I released 2 lbs!!!

This was sent to one of the members on a E-mail group I belong too. Thought it had great timing.

Here is what she said about don't loosing weight in P2.

This is how it works, you lose pounds and then we cycle through the Inches part when our skin needs time to heal around the muscle where the fat and water has been released. I would cycle every few weeks lose for 10-14 days then shrink for 3-4 days and so on. This is normal, you will not lose consistantly each day, it is an average of losses over the duration of your round. Trust us, you are losing inches and your skin is reshaping, did you take measurements when you started?
> This is the largest complaint other than complaints of hunger during the detoxing portion and they are both normal and how it works.
> You are fine, just know this is part of the plan. I now it doesnt make you feel any better as some really need to see the scale move but for me it didnt matter what the scale said if I couldnt see it on my body, I am visual and when I had the no pounds lost days I could SEE my body shrinking and that was way more important to me!!!! Loved my shrinking days as I would take a detox bath and wake up and see I was smaller!!!!
> Keep us posted, REmember the name of the Protocol is Pounds and INCHES!!! Its those Inches that matter most!!!

We just need to remember this.

R2 P2 D26

Where has the time gone? I can't believe I am halfway through this round. This is an interesting round for me. Much highs and not too many lows. My weight has been fluctuating between a couple of numbers and I just can't shake them. I am wanting to at least get into "onederland" by the end of this round. It seems possible as I only have about 15lbs left to loose yet with this fluctuation, who knows. I don't want to call it a stall as the scale is moving just up some days and down the next. I know lots of people have said on their Round 2 they loose more inches than weight. I have not taken my measurements since I started this round...maybe I should. I am a pants size down, so that is good. I know to keep doing what I am doing. My body will soon kick it back into gear. I could drink some more and get more sleep...I am sure that would help also. For all of you who are stalled, gaining or fluctuating as I am, just keep on following the protocol and soon your weight will start to go down again. We can't see the inside of our bodies and all that it is doing. I'm sure at this stage our body's are doing some important work in order for us to keep this weight off. Trust in your body and keep following the plan.
Everyone have Happy Releases, Maintenance and Stabilization days.

Big News

OK, I knew today would be the day!!! My big news is this:

I have released 51 lbs in 3 months!!! I am so excited. OK, I still have a long way to go, yet still that is 51 lbs. Now I can count in tens... 60, 70 80 etc. These will be BIG numbers.
The funny thing is, I got up this morning as I always do, around 5am and weighed in. I released 6ozs. I made my 50 yet after 2 hours I decided to go back to bed. I slept for 4 hours and when I got up again and weighed I released another 1.2lbs so a total of 1.8 lbs today. If only I can sleep that long every day, I would be skinny in no time. hahaha
I am not sure if I will have a mini celebration now or wait until 60 lbs. OK, I think I will do it now. Let's go to the store and find something cute for me to wear.

Again, whether you are releasing pounds at a time or just ozs, remember you are still releasing. Your body knows what is best. If you stall, realize you are probably releasing inches, which we want also. So, stay strict on the protocol and know what you are doing is great. Your body will think you.
Let's all have a Happy Release, Happy Stabilization and Happy Maintenance day today.

Quick Update

This is going to be very quick as I am late for bed. Remember, I need my sleep in order to loose well.
Today is R2 P2 D16. OK, I released yet I can't remember how much. It was small though...thinking around 2 or 4 ozs. For me, anything is great. As long as I am going DOWN! I love when my clothes start getting big on me. Thank goodness I have so many different sizes in my closet. It's like going shopping. I am running out of food and need to get some more tomorrow. I also need to get some more Chocolate/Raspberry stevia.

Here is a great recipe for those cold nights.

About:
1 dropperful of Chocolate/Raspberry stevia
1 dropperful of Peppermint stevia
in a mug of Hot water. Sit back, close your eyes and enjoy your Hot Chocolate.

Well off to bed. I am hoping that I have great news for you tomorrow.
Here's to all the Great Releases, Wonderful Stabilizations and Super Maintenance.

What Crazy Times

Today is R2 P2 D15. Yesterday when I weighed myself I gained 4 ozs. Was not too excited yet was not too shocked. I ate really good and drank most of my water yet I know it was because I only had 3 hours of sleep. I know if I would of been able to go back to bed, then I would of lost more. Oh well, this will just take a little longer.
Today I got just a tiny more amount of sleep and I lost 6 ozs. So I am down 2 ozs from yesterday. I just need to get to bed earlier since I get up so early. I don't like that because I home school, so my kids are always with me and the only down time I have is at night when they are in bed. I guess for loosing weight I need to loose some "ME" time also. Such sacrifices. Well, off to bed I go. We shall see if going to bed this early will help me loose.

Happy Releases, Happy Stabilization and Happy Maintenance everyone.

I Love Sleep

Today is R2 P2 D (oh, let me look), D 13. Since the beginning of this round I have released 18lbs. Can I say, not bad???
This morning I got up after 4 hours of sleep (I know...I am just a night owl). I weighed myself as always and was up 2ozs. I figured as I ate dinner late last night and did not drink all my water. Acouple of hours later I decided to go back to bed and slept for 3 hours and when I got up again, I weighed myself and I released a pound. Not too bad for doing nothing but sleeping, right?
Today has been a good and busy day. I have lately been having for one of my meals apple pie. I cut up an apple and place it in a bowl with cinnamon and a package of stevia powder and zap in for 1 min 45 sec. Boy is it yummy. I don't miss apple pie at all as this taste just like it, minus the crust. So, there is your recipe for tonight...Apple Pie. Enjoy as I sure did today.

Sleep

I know I missed a day of posting, yet I did not get home until late and had so much to do before I went to bed.
Remember my post on Sunday about how I got up early, weighed myself and only lost 2ozs. Went back to bed and slept for three more hours. When I got up again, I decided to weigh myself just for fun and noticed I lost another pound.
Yesterday I decided to do an experiment. I get up every morning around 5a.m and most of the time I don't get to bed before 12a, so only getting anywhere from 4-5 hours of sleep a night. Yesterday I got up at my regular time, which was 5a.m. Got my son off to seminary (for those who don't know, it is like church school for an hour before regular school). Then around 7a.m had to pick him up. Let me back up... when I got up that morning I weighed myself and only released 8ozs. Now to move forward. When I got back home from picking up my son, I decided we could go back to bed. I slept for 2 more hours. When I got up again, I weighed myself and found out I lost another pound, so that made it 1.8 lbs. So, what I learned from this experiment... you DO need to get your sleep if you want to loose weight.
Today I gained 8ozs and I attribute it too, not a lot of sleep and also TOM decided to visit. We shall see what tomorrow brings.
OH, another thing I want to bring up. Yesterday my husband decided he wanted to take us to Golden Corral restaurant. I let him know that I would not be going. I could of caved in and cheated that day, yet is it worth it??? For one night of "junk" food, it would probably of taken me close to a week to get it off. We decided to go to the movies instead. He got popcorn for everyone yet I was just fine watching the movie. Who says you have to eat to enjoy a movie? I know having a life time of thinnest is way better than a moment of pleasure from a food item.
So everyone keep plugging along and realize you are doing great. It is only food and the taste will last such a short time yet the weight it brings will last a lot longer.
Happy Releases, Happy Maintenance and Happy Stabilization to all!!!

R2P2D8

Today was an uneventful day. Daughter was sick so I stayed home from church. I got up around 7:30a to get the boys up, as they were going to church. Decided to weigh myself after I went to the bathroom. OK, yesterday I jinxed myself as I only released .4oz. Went back to bed and didn't get up for another 3 hours. Again, went to the bathroom and decided to weigh myself just for fun...I figure I would gain some as it was later in the morning. Got on the scale and it said I released 1.4lbs....OK, that is more like it...I am staying with this one. Not too much food wise, still feeling great. I am at 5 drops 3x a day. No hunger or cravings. So often when someone feels really hungry, they will up their dose yet Dr. Simeon says to try going down and see how you do.

I decided since my post are so boring...nothing much to say, that I would add a recipe a day, depending on what phase I am in is what phase the recipe will be.

So, today's recipe is this:

Taco Seasoning

Ingredients
• 1 tablespoon chili powder
• 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
• 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
• 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
• 1/2 teaspoon paprika
• 2 teaspoons ground cumin
• 1 teaspoon sea salt
• 1 teaspoon black pepper

Directions
1. In a small bowl, mix together chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes, oregano, paprika, cumin, salt and pepper. Store in an airtight container.

If you look at the store bought Taco seasoning, it has sugar in it and I have found every little bit of sugar WILL make a difference.

I will cook up my burger and add 1TBS of Taco seasoning with 1/4 c of water and cook until done. I then will shred my lettuce and add some dice tomatoes, then pour the meat and juice onto the salad mixture for a yummy Taco Salad.
This is your meat, veggie and fruit. You could also crumble up your Melba toast and add to your salad. You will get hooked on this one.
Enjoy!

R2 P2 D6&7

Boy is it hard keeping track of my days. I hope I'm on day 6. OK, I just looked at my calendar and saw it was day 7. Yesterday when we got home, I started cooking my food as it was late and the power went out. Thanks goodness for gas stoves. The kids and I ate and I read a book to them by flashlight and then off to bed where many of piles of blankets were waiting for us. Thank goodness the power came back on around 4:00a. Yesterday I released 1.8 lbs and today I released 1.6lbs. I know this will not last forever and I will start making small releases, yet I am going to enjoy this while it last. Everything is going great. I feel great, have tons of energy. I did go over my 500 cal a bit today. Too much cabbage, I guess. We shall see how I do tomorrow.
Everyone have a great Sabbath day tomorrow.
Happy Releases, Happy Stabilization and Happy Maintenance.

R2P2D5

Today has been good. I am thinking I will try another day of 5 drops 3xday and see how I do. I don't think I was as hungry yet I was so busy today to even notice.

OK, I am thinking I have it figured out why it is said, that Round 2 is harder.

My thought:

When you first start you are wanting to loose weight so bad you can taste it (but don't as that would be soooo nasty). You do your first round and have much success. Everyone is cheering you on, you are going down in sizes, Nothing matters then becoming smaller and healthier. After Round 1 with phase 3 and 4, you relize that you can eat yummy foods and stay the same weight. You then go into Round 2 Phase 2. Mentally, I feel it is harder, why not just stay at your new weight? You feel better, you look better. Why go back to eating 500 cals with limited food? Not so much fun, especially around the holidays. We need to remember, if we are feeling better with the weight we just lost, just think how much MORE better we will feel with ALL the abnormal fat gone. We need to set our goal and aim for it. Right now my pants are so loose...I know if I put on some smaller pants that were tight on me I would feel uncomfortable and want to loose the weight faster.
We need to help each other and set our goals. Aim high with our goals yet we need to take baby step goals to get there. My goal is to loose at least 30 lbs this round. Can I do this??? YOU BET I CAN!
Oh, by the way...I lost 1.8 lbs this morning.

R2P2D4

This is going to be quick as it is late and I have to get up realllllly early to take Brandon to seminary.
This morning, I had a 1.4 lb release...Yea, I am below my LDW. I can't wait for tomorrow morning. I know some days I will loose nothing or even gain a little. It all averages out to about 1/2 lb a day.
I have been hungry lately. I have never had this with Round 1. This is something new to me. I did 3 loading days and gainned 9lbs so that should not be the problem. I need to figure out how many drops I should take. Last round I took 6 drops, 3xday. Maybe I need less??? I think I will take it down to 5 and see how I do tomorrow.
Tonight was so crazy, that I did not have a change to eat dinner as I had somewhere to go all of a sudden and didn't get back until 10:30p and just didn't want to eat that late.
Let's sit on pins and needles (ok, with Lots and lots of cushions on top) and see how I do tomorrow.
Until then,
Happy Releases, Happy Stabilization and Happy Maintenance.

R2 P2 D3

Sorry I didn't post yesterday. I was going to yet did not feel well.
Yesterday was good. I release (I like this word better because if I say I lost, then I would have to find and I don't want to find the weight again)1.6lbs. I was hoping for more yet will take anything I can get. I drank more water yet still not to my full capacity. Last night I started feeling chilled and achy all over. I never had this with my last round and contributed this to detoxing. I did not feel like eating my dinner. As I went to bed last night, I put on flannel pajamas, socks and an extra blanket. By morning I was feeling good again.
I weighed myself this morning and released another 5.6 lbs. Can we say HOORAY!!! I was so excited to find this. That means in two days I have released 7.2 lbs. I am only 1lb shy of my LDW and then on to lower weight loss. This HCG is GREAT!!! I love that my body knows where to go with my weight. Again, the most important phase, I feel, is Phase 3, where you reset your Hypothalamus gland and stabilize.
Here is to a GREAT day and Happy Realises, Stabilization and Maintenance to all.

R2 P2 D1

Well I just finished my first day (ok, it is not midnight yet) of my 500 cal on p2. Did great! No hunger and loved eating my little portions. I can't wait to see what the scale says tomorrow. Here is where I love getting on the scale. In p3 and 4 I have learned to love the scale. I use to judge my weight by how my clothes fit yet now I will get on the scale and if I am up 2lbs from my LDW, I know to loose it before it gets out of control.
For this round I am doing a 51 day round. That way I will be in P3 during Thanksgiving and can eat some yummy turkey.
Until tomorrow... Happy Releases, Happy Stabilization and Happy Maintenance.

Last Day for Loading

Last day for loading and boy am I ready to go to P2's 500 cal. I have felt so gross these last 3 days. I have got hardly anything done as I was way too full to even move. Tomorrow I will weight and see how much I have gained. They say between 4 to 10 lbs is good. Last round I gained 4 lbs and had no problems at all, so we shall see what this round has in store for me. Can't wait to start seeing that scale drop again. Here's to another (hopefully) 40 lb release.

Round 2 - First Loading day

Oh my!!!
It's so funny, as you look so forward to loading day...you can eat anything you want and you need to eat all day. What a party, right? WRONG.
I had all these wonderful foods planned that I wanted to eat, that I have not had since June. Today I started my first loading day and Brandon (my son) was so excited to make me breakfast. He made hashbrowns (loaded in butter), eggs, bacon, sausage, toast (loaded in butter) and fresh squeezed OJ. The plate was huge. Talk about feeling sick. The came lunch and I was told to get a hamburger (a big one), large fries and a large shake. Then for dinner he made B.B.Q spareribs, bake potato (loads of butter and sour cream), salad, and corn on the cob (tons of butter). I could not even finish all of that. For dessert I was able to get down a tiny bit of ice cream. Talk about feeling sick. Can we all say... Let's puke now?
My kids take my loading days serious for me. I guess this is why in round 1, I had not hunger or cravings.
I have heard from a lot of people that Round 2 is the hardest round to do and this is why I am doing 3 loading days. I want to make sure I have enough abnormal fat in my system that I will not have a problem at all.
Who knows what tomorrow will bring? I sure don't want any of the foods I was planning on eating. I just plain don't want to eat yet I have to force myself. I need my snacking in between meals tomorrow. If at anytime between now and Sunday morning you see me rolling down the street, you will know why.
Until tomorrow!

Round 2 - First Loading day Stats

I am so excited. I know I will gain a lot these next three days and feel soooo sick, yet with doing this I know that I will loose it all plus more. So, far this protocol is wonderful. I can't believe that I am under my LDW.
So first of all, here are the ugly stats: The only reason I am putting these down is to help others and also knowing that these are not permanent. I can finally see me being smaller than I ever have been and it's exciting. Yesterday, hubby was asking me if I wanted to eat this food or that. I was not tempted at all as this weight loss is more important to me than food and it has never been like this. Food was my closest friend...not anymore. Eating takes too much time out of my day. I love that food is not controlling me anymore. I have not craved anything during this last round either. This IS a great feeling.

OK, on to stats:

I started out last round at.....
Round 1 P2 weight...268
Round 1 LDW .....229.2
Round 2 P2 weight...228.6

My measurements for Round 2 is this...

Neck - 15"
Arm - 14 3/4"
Bust - 46 1/4"
Waist - 36
Stomach - 40
Hip - 46
Thigh - 28
Knee - 17
Calf - 18

So there you go. I just exposed myself for everyone to see. Just realize, next year I will not be near these stats!

Getting Ready for Round 2, Phase 2

The time is finally here. I start Loading tomorrow. I am going to do 3 load days as I have heard Round 2, Phase 2 is the hardest. So, I will prepare. My kids are ready. They already know what they want me to eat. Last Sunday I have gone under my LDW (Last Diet Weight) and have stayed there. Here is hoping to a great start tomorrow with my weigh-in and measurements. Sunday, I will start the 500c phase of P2. Then I will be recording quite often. So, until tomorrow.

P 3 and P 4 Recipe

Faux fried rice

1/2 head of raw cauliflower, grated (had about 3.5 cups of grated, loosely packed cauliflower)

3 green onions, chopped

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 - 3 Tbsp. of soy sauce (note, I use Raw Coconut Aminos instead since I don't do soy)

1/2 to 1 tsp. of garlic salt

3 eggs, beaten

Oil (I use coconut oil & a touch of sesame oil, but if you're really into fats, bacon grease is FAB)

Pork, chicken, or shrimp, cooked (optional)

Any type of low starch green veggie (i.e. not peas - they are high carb). I usually add celery or broccoli.

In a wok or large pan, heat enough oil to cover bottom of pan. Fry minced garlic and white part of onions for approx. 1 min. Add grated cauliflower and fry for approximately 5 min, stirring constantly. Add soy sauce, garlic salt, green onion tops, and meat (optional) and stir until mixed. Push mixture to side of pan. Add more oil if necessary, and scramble eggs in empty side of pan until done but still moist. Stir eggs into "rice" and remove from heat. Serves 3 as a side dish.

Note: I didn't measure anything. These measurements are just estimates.

Note: The secret is to use raw cauliflower.

You can either grate in a food processor, or use one of those hand choppers and just chop it to rice sized pieces.

Also you can freeze chopped/grated cauliflower to make it faster the next time. I usually process 2 heads at once.

Suggestions for HCG Rounds

1. Before you start, make sure you have: a good food scale, good body scales that records in at least, on-half pound increments.

2. Have a good supply of food containers available. Her assertion is that most people go off the program, because they get hungry or respond to food around them. So, if you have preplanned and pre-packed all of your meals, you are ahead of the game.

3. Get some good thermos water bottles and fill them up every morning with the correct amount of water for the day.

4. Do not start the program if you have social events that will make it impossible to stay compliant. Wait until a better time.

5. Be totally committed and follow Dr. Simeon's plan, without thinking you can modify it.

6. Record your food, water and progress every day

Moved onto Phase 4

It has been awhile, yet there wasn't too much to write while in P(phase) 3. I could not stabilize for the longest time. I was doing a "Steak day" around every third day. Finally around week 4 (should only be in P 3 for 3 weeks) I decided stabilize or not, I was moving onto P 4 as Brandon's birthday was coming up and he wanted me to enjoy his birthday dinner. We went to Golden Corral and the next day. I did have to do a "steak day" yet this is the only one so far in P 4. I have had Lasagna, Taco Bell burrito, Moose cake, hamburger, hot dog, pasta salad, ice cream etc. Every morning I expect to get up and see that I have to do a "steak day", yet some days I have found I lost. I only have one more week and then on to my loading days and P2. Can't wait as I want to loose another 40 lbs. Don't worry I still have more to loose after this round. I still have not been craving. My eating has been so controlled and it is NOT by willpower. My body just doesn't want junk food. Yes, some of the foods I mentioned above are junk yet they were for either birthdays, going to someones home for dinner, starving and not home, etc. I am really loving this"CURE". I can see me going another 30lbs pass my goal I have always had for myself. I am excited to see what I will look like next year.
I will keep you posted more, when I get to my loading days.

What to Expect

I love this article about what to expect when you are doing HCG. Hope you enjoy this as much as I have. (I found this on the internet)

Things to expect on the Dr. Simeons hCG Protocol.

First off, let me say that I think it is great that you are looking for a real cure to your weight issues. This is not just another fad diet designed to separate you from your money.

Please note that this cure is the most powerful, fastest, and effective way to lose body fat, lose inches, re-shape and resculpt your body and completely correct the condition of obesity. When you do the weight loss cure protocol, some amazing things can happen to you. You can lose fat, pounds, and inches faster and easier than ever before. Imagine losing over a pound per day starting from the very first day. The best part is once the protocol is over you can once again eat normally. Why, because this protocol addresses the very root problem of obesity, it resets the Hypothalamus Gland found deep inside your brain, raises your metabolism and eliminates hunger!

However you will find this Protocol so different than any diet program you have seen or used, I felt I would give you some insight as to what to expect.

1. Expect to lose a pound or 2 a day.

2. The protocol is NOT dependent on exercise to lose the weight, but exercise is still great for your overall health.

3. Find a source of Melba Toast or Grisini Bread Sticks. They can be hard to find. (Melba Toast can be found at Wal-Mart)

4. Some people are a little apprehensive about giving themselves a shot. This goes away after you do it a couple of times. Relax, it is not that bad and you do get use to it! (If you don't want to do the shots, you can do RX subliguial or Homeopathic drops)

5. You must eat to capacity all day long until after your 3rd injection (or your 3rd day on the drops). We know this goes against anything you ever heard of on a diet, but remember, this is not a diet, it is a cure for Obesity. Eat the fattiest foods you can, like bacon, mayonnaise, butter, biscuits and gravy and any other high fat foods. Why? Because once you start the VLCD (Very Low Calorie Diet) it takes a few days for the hCG to start moving your fat into your system. Meanwhile you are using the stored fat you just ate. Please eat a lot! This helps eliminate or reduce hunger and headaches.

6. A few people get a little hungry for the first few days of the VLCD if they did not eat enough before their 3rd injection. Again, please eat A LOT before your 3rd injection!

7. A few people experience Headaches around days 3-5 of the VLCD mostly because they did not eat enough before their 3rd injection or are not drinking enough. There is also the huge change in diet and the headache is just a reaction to that. An aspirin usually helps if needed, but they almost always go away on their own. Drink lots of water.

8. Have your coffee or tea ready the night before, so when you get up in the morning just turn it on. That way it will be ready as soon as possible.

9. You are drinking a lot of water, tea and coffee, so guess what, you are going to Urinate a lot.

10. You are eating a little so guess what, you will have fewer and fewer stools.

11. Your clothes will start getting loose and belts will quickly become too big. So start saving money for the new wardrobe.

12.

Diabetics can expect a huge drop in Blood Sugar levels. Mine went from 250mg with meds to 110mg without meds in 3 weeks. It also stabilized at around 105mg average. Not bad for a 10 year type 2 diabetic who’s H1c tests were 7.2, taking 4 different drugs for diabetes, high blood pressure and cholesterol. I no longer take any prescription drugs, and my blood work has never been better.

13. A few people experience slightly blurry vision while on the protocol but from what I have heard, the few that it has affected have all cleared up after the protocol ended..

14. Your rings (finger, toes, etc.) will get loose and you may want to remove them and wait until you have reached your goal weight before having them resized.

15. Your energy level will go up. It becomes easier to get up in the mornings.

16. Expect your blood pressure to drop to normal levels.

17. Expect better check-ups at your next Doctor’s visit.

These experiences are personal experiences by myself and others I found on the Web.

We are not making any medical claims, just observations and relaying these observations.

My New Toy

Look what I got last night.
A Magic Bullet!!!
I would hate making protein shakes as I would have to lug out my big VitaMix just for one little shake. With the Magic Bullet I can easily make a shake for one and in the same cup I would drink out of. Last night I make Chocolate Moose in about 5 seconds with Home-made Whip Cream. The Bullet can also chop, grate and more. This is going to come in handy.
I love my little bullet.

Doctors don't know Everything.

OK, I am very frustrated with doctors. There are so many people doing HCG through a Dr. and that is ok as long as they are following the true Dr. Simeon's protocol. What gets me is when a Dr. feels that they can change things to their liking. Dr. Simeon has tested and tried this protocol for a long time. It has been over 50 years since he has done this and tons of people have seen lots of success doing his protocol. I guess what got me going this morning is, David came home and told me that some of the nurses were told by their Dr. that they did not have to do the 6 weeks between rounds. These doctors (or this one) is/are not getting it. The reason we do Phase 3, which is the Stabilization round is to reset your Hypothalamus gland and Phase 4, which is Maintenance, is exactly just that...to maintain it. You must do these two phases before you move on to your next round. Here is what Dr. Simeon says about it:

Patients requiring the loss of more than 34 lbs. must have a second or even more courses. A second course can be started after an interval of not less than six weeks, though the pause can be more than six weeks. When a third, fourth or even fifth course is necessary, the interval between courses should be made progressively longer. Between a second and third course eight weeks should elapse, between a third and fourth course twelve weeks, between a fourth and fifth course twenty weeks and between a fifth and sixth course six months. In this way it is possible to bring about a weight reduction of 100 lbs. and more if required without the least hardship to the patient.

Concluding a Course

When the three days of dieting after the last injection are over, the patients are told that they may now eat anything they please, except sugar and starch provided they faithfully observe one simple rule. This rule is that they must have their own portable bathroom-scale always at hand, particularly while traveling. They must without fail weight themselves every morning as they get out of bed, having first emptied their bladder. If they are in the habit of having breakfast in bed, they must weigh before breakfast.

It takes about 3 weeks before the weight reached at the end of the treatment becomes stable, i.e. does not show violent fluctuations after an occasional excess. During this period patients must realize that the so-called carbohydrates, that is sugar, rice, bread, potatoes, pastries etc, are by far the most dangerous. If no carbohydrates whatsoever are eaten, fats can be indulged in somewhat more liberally and even small quantities of alcohol, such as a glass of wine with meals, does no harm, but as soon as fats and starch are combined things are very liable to get out of hand. This has to be observed very carefully during the first 3 weeks after the treatment is ended otherwise disappointments are almost sure to occur.

Plan of a Normal Course

125 I.U. of hCG daily (except during menstruation) ui injections have been given.

Until 3rd injection forced feeding.

After 3rd injection, 500 calorie diet to be continued until 72 hours after the last injection.

For the following 3 weeks, all foods allowed except starch and sugar in any form (careful with very sweet fruit).

After 3 weeks, very gradually add starch in small quantities, always controlled by morning weighing.

I guess, I shouldn't worry what others do yet I want everyone to have success. Yes, if you go from one round to another without the allotted 6 weeks, you will still loose weight yet the question is this...Once you get to your goal, will you keep it off for good? Is your hypothalamus gland reset at your goal weight? For me, I don't have time to take chances. I know if I do the protocol the way Dr. Simeon says then my hypothalamus gland will be reset at my lowest weight.

Happy Releasing

Phase 3 Day 10

Thank goodness. My ankles are back down, I lost a 1lb. Yeah, me. I am still 2 ozs over my 2 lb window yet I am going to try to eat clean and drink more water and see if this helps. If not then "Steak Day" here I come tomorrow. I just saw yesterday that my sour cream had sugar in it so we shall see if having "no sugar" sour cream helps. The main idea here is to just keep plugging along. Try to find out what is working and what is not. Our body's are so smart, we just need to trust them and give them what they really need and not what we "think" they need.
Happy Releases, Stabilization and Maintenance to all.

Phase 3 Day 9

Ok, I don't know what happened. I am so frustrated right now. This morning I did my typical ritual, which is get out of bed, go to the bathroom and get on the scale. I glanced down and saw that I was up by 2.4 lbs. Not good! TOM was here this week and should be leaving real, soon (one of you lucky ladies will get a visit from him) I don't think this is what is causing my weight gain. I thought I ate real clean yesterday. I just don't know what it could be. Today I decided my correction day would be a Protein day. This is where you eat ALL protein all day and nothing else. I have notice that I am retaining fluids. Hopefully by tomorrow morning my weight will be back down. I have not eaten all my calories today (am I suppose to on a correction day?). I did try to up my water intake. We shall see as this is the time I am suppose to stabilize. Even though it is frustrating, I will plug along, moving forward. I can't wait for Phase 2 again...way easier!

Phase 3

OK I have to admit that I am scared of this Phase. Will I stabilize or will I gain all my weight back. In phase 3, you have a 2 lb window. If you loose or gain 2 lbs pass your last HCG weight then you need to do a correction day and try to stabilize within that 2 lb range. On the first day I had an omelet with cheese for breakfast. I was enjoying myself with eating a different variety of foods. During the 500 cal without HCG, you are expected to loose weight yet once you start phase 3 you should gain that which you lost in those 72 hrs. That is exactly what happened. For a couple of days my weight would go a couple of ozs here or there yet once day (yes, here comes TOM again) I went 2ozs over my 2 lbs window. So "Steak Day" here I come. This is where you have nothing all day until dinner and then you have the "Biggest" steak you can fine and 1 tomato. The next morning I lost 1.6 lbs. The is wonderful back in the "safety zone". I am hoping that I will not have a hard time stabilizing. According to different web sites (I would average them all out) I should be eating 2238 cal to maintain my weight. We shall see what happens with this.

What My Phase 2 was Like

Oh, my goodness. Phase 2 was fun, hard, stressful at time, exciting, frustrating, rewarding...ok I think you get the picture. On the second day of the VLCD I lost 3.6 lbs. Talk about a great starting. I was so excited. As I mentioned in a previous post, I was still full from my loading days so eating 500 cal, was not hard at all. I would average between 1-2 lbs lose a day for awhile. Then I started averaging around .5 lbs a day. I still couldn't complain. At one point I was only loosing around .2 lbs a day and decided to see if there was anything I was doing wrong. I checked everything and then noticed on my Lemon Pepper spice that it had sugar in it. Every thing counts and will make a different, either big or small. Once I stopped using it, I started to loose more again. Yeah!!! Once TOM (time of month) came I gained .2ozs. Again, I wasn't stressed as you will gain water weight with TOM. I decided to go passed my 40 days and ended up doing 54 on the Homeopathic drops. I would of gone longer yet I have mapped out the rest of the year as I wanted Christmas Eve and Christmas to be Loading days.
In 54 days I lost 39 LBS and 18" all around. Dropped 2 sizes. I am excited. This is working. When I did South Beach, I was very "by the book" and lost 50 lbs in 150 days. So there is no complaining here. After my 54 days I stopped the drops yet you are to continue eating your 500 cal for 72 hrs as that is how long it takes for the HCG to leave your system. I am now on Phase 3 and can't wait until I get to do Round 2.

Ups and Downs

You have to realize that on P2 your body is doing some amazing things. I went 57 days on P2 and not once cheated. I had days were I lost 2 lbs a day, days I lost .2 ozs, days I gained .8 ozs and days were I didn't gain or loose. You have to decide that no matter what the scales say you will continue to eat clean and stick to the protocol. There can be so many reasons you are loosing, not loosing or staying the same. Your cycle is a BIG one, did you drink ALL your water, are you moving your bowels? You could be loosing inches and not pounds for awhile, remember the book Dr. Simeon wrote is called "Pounds and Inches". So relax, breath and keep doing everything right and at the end you will be pleased. I know I was. Always remember, this DOES work!!! Another thing I would do when the pounds weren't moving or were going up instead of down was to watch some Vlogs with HCG. On the side bar, you will see some of my favorite Vloggers. Take a look.

Phase 2 Meals

Are you a person who could do the same thing day after day or do you need a change once in a while? I am both. There were days that I eat my simple "boring" meals as they were fast and easy and I really don't like to cook, yet there were days that I just needed something new and different to spice my meals up. There are plenty of recipes and cookbooks on the Internet for P2 and 3. I suggest you getting some of these. They are well worth it. Just make sure they are strictly to the protocol.

Here are some of my meals.
This is a 3.5 oz steak (no visible fat), Radish hash brown, Melba toast and 1/2 a grapefruit. It was a lot to eat.

This one is, Shrimp with Glazed Onions, Melba toast and "Apple Pie".

This one is, Breaded Chicken breast (breaded with my Melba toast and no skin), 2 Cucumbers and an Orange. These were all so filling to me.

Another one is Shrimp Scampi on a bed of saute cabbage, Melba toast and Home-made Apple sauce.

So as you can see, you are eating some Yummy foods. I love being on P2 and can't wait to get back on it (as I am writing this, I am on P3

500 Calorie Protocol

I started the 500 Calorie Protocol on June 6, 2010 and was so excited to start as I felt so sick and bloated from the two Loading days. As I weighed in on that morning, I knew I gained and they say you want to gain between 4 to 10 lbs on your loading day. So, I did pretty good. My weigh in weight was 268.2. Wow, I can't believe I said it yet hopefully with me telling all, it will help someone else. On the VLCD (Very Low Calorie Diet) you do not eat breakfast. You only eat lunch and dinner. You are to drink 1/2 your weight in water. There is a strict diet for this and you can only have these foods and nothing else. Some people "cheat" on this diet, yet if you are serious about becoming healthy and loosing weight then you should stick to Dr. Simeon's protocol. I was not hungry at all and noticed my craving went away. I was able to cook and bake for others and not tempted one bit. I wanted to loose the weight and knew I could on this protocol.

Loading Days

So, as stated in a previous post. I started HCG on June 4, 2010. When you start, you are to "load" for two days while taking your HCG. I couldn't wait for my loading days as I could eat what ever I wanted and as much as I wanted. It was like letting a kid in a candy store and telling them to go at it as it is all free.
First thing I did that day was to go to the bathroom when I woke up and get on the scale. I was in shock as it read (ok, here I am being honest. I can do this as I won't be at this weight again) 264lbs. I have never weighed this much. The most was in the 250's. This is where "faith" came in as I knew the way I was going to eat for these two days were going to have me gain. I would take my HCG (I was doing homeopathic drops) 6 drops, 3x day. The first two days you are to eat as much fat as you can, in fact you are to "gorge" yourself on fats (Wow, this is going way against my believes!!!).
In the book "Pounds and Inches", it states:

Gain before Loss

Patients whose general condition is low, owing to excessive previous dieting, must eat to capacity for about one week before starting treatment, regardless of how much weight they may gain in the process. One cannot keep a patient comfortably on 500 Calories unless his normal fat reserves are reasonably well stocked. It is for this reason also that every case, even those that are actually gaining must eat to capacity of the most fattening food they can get down until they have had the third injection. It is a fundamental mistake to put a patient on 500 Calories as soon as the injections are started, as it seems to take about three injections before abnormally deposited fat begins to circulate and thus become available.

The first day I remember eating a huge breakfast of hash brown and eggs with sour cream and cheese. It was really good. I can't remember all the foods I ate yet I do remember when lunch came around I was still not hungry, yet I knew I had to eat. I found if I drank a milkshake, I was able to intake more fat. By the first night, I was so sick. The next morning I still did not want to eat yet I knew I had too. I "forced" food in me. Feeling bloated and yucky. I did not do much that day. I was not liking these LOADING days at all. I couldn't wait until I got to the Very Low Calorie Diet (vlcd) to start. I gained about 4 pounds in those two days. Not fun at all!!!

Read First

With HCG, the first thing I tell people is to read "Pounds and Inches", and ebook by Dr. Simeon. Taking HCG is not a game and if you don't do the protocol right can really mess up your body. You need to know what you are doing and why. Go to the link to the right and click on LDS-HCG e-mail group (this site is for everyone, whether you are LDS or not, we just ask that it stays "G" rated) and after you join, go to files (on the left side). Once there click on Dr. Simeon and the book Pounds and Inches is in this file. So, grab a glass of water and sit down to some wonderful reading.

I decided to start a New Adventure.

Three years ago I lost about 60 lbs doing the South Beach Diet. Was feeling great, yet still had about 20 more pounds I wanted to loose. That same year we moved from a two bedroom apartment to a three bedroom triplex. With the move, my schedule went all out of whack! There were times I would try to get back on the bandwagon of loosing weight yet I just couldn't do it. As the story goes, I started to gain weight back. It finally got so bad that I didn't want anyone I knew before the move to see me as I was so embarrassed. I would never go to my husband's work either as I didn't want his co-workers to know he was married to a "fat" wife. With the weight came physical problems, not being able to tie my own shoes, couldn't climb the stairs without being winded, having a hard time getting up after I sat down, feeling my belly fat bounce as I walked down the stairs and so many more things. I figured that I just needed to get use to being a "fat" mom as I was not motivated to loose weight.
I have been hearing about this HCG Cure for awhile yet would not touch that with a ten foot pole. Even though I was fat, I have done a lot of studying on nutrition and health. I knew with HCG you only could eat a 500 calorie diet and that was STARVATION! There was no way I was going to do something that dangerous. So, time went on and I just continued to get fatter.
Finally on Facebook a friend of mine wrote that she lost 17 lbs and 17 inches in 23 days. This really made me think. I figured I would do my homework and search into this HCG thing.
Well, it took me about two months of research and at the end I came to the conclusion that the HCG cure was very safe, as was eating a 500 cal diet (you can only do this safely with HCG). I decided I was going to give this a try. What did I have to loose, but a LOT of weight. It took me about another month to research what company I wanted to order my HCG from as there are so many options out there and some of them will rip you off.

So, on June 6, 2010 my journey began.

I wish I would of started this when I first started HCG so that I could of blogged everyday and you could see what I was doing, yet I will try to go back in time and recapture the moment as best I can. I decided to also be very honest here. I don't like my picture taken, because I don't want to see how obese I really am, yet I will post pictures every so often and my stats. I am hoping that by doing this, it will help me but also help others who are in "shoes" like mine. There is hope out there for you and I am and will be living proof of that.
